Special Communication Organization (SCO) on Saturday inaugurated 61 software technology parks in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) to empower youths of these areas with modern education.
Now Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are connected with other parts of the country through IT. The project was completed in record time of 61 months.
According to SCO these IT parks will play a vital role in providing friendly atmosphere to local communities and administration.
This project will help youth to achieve success by using their own skills. This is the 21st project established under 50 software technology parks project.
Uninterrupted electricity supply and enhanced speed internet facility is available in all these IT parks. SCO is also providing facilities to special children to enhance their skills and live a free life and keep studying.
SCO also established freelancing hubs for women where they were getting training in a safe environment.
Around 6500 employment opportunities were generated through IT parks and 1600 freelancers were made self-independent. As per vision of 2025 this region will become a hub of Information Technology in future.—Agencies
