502 new Corona patients reported

As many as 16 more patients of Coronavirus died overnight lifting the death toll to 4,936 and 910 new cases emerged when 11,388 tests were conducted.

This was stated by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah in a statement issued here on Monday. He added that 16 more patients of COVID-19 lost their lives lifting the death toll to 4,936 that constituted 1.6 percent death rate.

Shah said that 11,388 samples were tested which detected 910 cases that constituted 8 percent current detection rate. He added that so far 3,991,759 tests have been conducted against which 310,540 cases were diagnosed, of them 91 percent or 282,410 patients have recovered, including 814 overnight.

The CM said that currently 23,194 patients were under treatment, of them 22,229 were in home isolation, 22 at isolation centers and 943 at different hospitals.

He added that the condition of 897 patients was stated to be critical, including 68 shifted to ventilators.

According to the statement, out of 910 new cases, 502 have been detected from Karachi, including 241 from East, 1174 Central, 85 South, 38 Korangi, 16 West and 8 Malir.

Hyderabad has 116, TandoAllahyar 29, Badin 27, Shaheed Benazirabad 26, Dadu and Larkana 23 each, Jamshoro and Kashmore 18 each, Khairpur and Mirpurkhas 17 each, Thatta 16, Nausheroferoze 15, Ghotki 12, Matiari 11, Jacobabad 10, Sanghar 9, Umerkot 8, Sukkur 3, Tando Muhammad Khan 1.

Murad Ali Shah urged people to abide by the SOPs issued by the government.
