24 police officers demoted over negligence restored

Karachi police chief Khadim Hussain Rind, under a policy outlined by the government of Sindh, has reinstated the ranks of police officers who were demoted over negligence.

Officials said that the city police chief reinstated 24 officers of Karachi Range on the completion of their term of punishment, i.e. three years.The police chief directed the officials concerned to restore all such officers who had completed their demotion terms as soon as possible after scrutiny of papers.

It should be noted that these steps of Karachi’s additional IG will benefit more than 300 officers and personnel of Karachi Range. Rind also directed the Karachi Police Office staff to take swift steps with transparency in all welfare schemes of the Karachi Police.

Earlier, the Sindh government had issued a policy to the police department for transparency in the department and ordered constitution of a committee comprising officers to streamline various issues in the police.

The chairman of the committee is the Additional Inspector General Establishment Sindh, Karachi, while the members are DIG Establishment Sindh, Karachi.
