2 drug paddlers arrested


Islamabad Capital Police PS Ramna team have arrested two criminals involved in drug peddling and snatching and recovered snatched cash, mobile phones and weapons with ammunition from their possession, a police public relations officer said.

He said that, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, Islamabad capital police had categorically started a crackdown against criminal elements in order to save the precious lives and property of citizens.

Following these directions, a police team under the supervision of SHO Ramna along with other officials used all technical resources and human sources and arrested two criminals involved in drug peddling and snatching incidents.

The accused were identified as Haroon S/o Bacha Khan and Zakir Ullah S/o Allah Dad. Police team also recovered 05 snatched phones, 1780 gram hashish and one 30 bore pistol with ammunition from their possession.

During the preliminary investigation, the accused confessed to being involved in multiple criminal activities. The accused have previous criminal records also. Six cases have already been registered against the nabbed accused in PS Ramna. Further investigation is underway.—NNI
