Zoo, museum to remain closed on Eid


The Punjab government has decided to keep Lahore Museum, Zoo and Wildlife Parks closed during Eidul Azha holidays in view of the coronavirus threat.
According to Wildlife Director General Tahir Raza Hamdani, it’s always become to get SOPs implemented on such occasion. A large number of people, especially children, visit Zoo and it will be difficult to make them follow SOP. Therefore, the government has decided not open, Zoo, Museum and other Wildlife Parks during Eid holidays, Hamdani added.
The DG said that SOP will be devised to open Zoo and other wildlife parks for visitors after Eid.
On the other hand, Spokesperson for Lahore Museum Asim Rizwan said that a large number of people including those from other cities visit the Museum. That’s why it has been decided to keep the museum shut to avoid spread of coronavirus.
