As the general elections are just two months away, Pakistan People’s Party had decided to target special pockets in Punjab rather than focusing on all seats, it was learnt on Thursday.
Sources said that in this connection former president Asif Ali Zardari, who is currently staying in Lahore, had given assignments to the party leaders.
They elaborated that the party would award tickets to only those candidates in Punjab whose chances of success were comparatively brighter.
Furthermore, they disclosed, the PPP had also started reaching out to disgruntled party members in the province in order to woo them ahead of elections.
