The second day of the 2024 Young Leaders Conference (YLC) focused on “Developmental Leadership – Ikhtiyar Muashre Pe,” offering a series of transformative sessions and activities aimed at equipping youth for impactful leadership. For over two decades, EBM has been a steadfast supporter of YLC, enabling young participants to harness their potential for societal growth. The day began with YLC Champ Waqar Ali’s session, “From I to We,” highlighting unity and collaboration as the cornerstones of sustainable leadership.

This was followed by Dr. Xaher Gul’s session, “The Norms of Becoming a Developmental Leader,” which delved into the ethics, mindset, and skills essential for societal progress. A panel discussion with Sikandar Bizenjo, Idrees Qureshi, and Arham Ishtiaq stood out, sharing stories of transformative projects that have redefined social development in Pakistan. The World Café of Social Enterprises brought forward initiatives like Doch, Quetta Book Café, and Connect Hear, giving participants a platform to brainstorm innovative solutions for pressing social challenges.

A Storytelling Activity, co-led by EBM, encouraged attendees to reflect on pivotal “click moments” that sparked personal growth and motivation. Breakout sessions addressed critical issues such as climate change, youth unemployment, mental health, and education, with a standout session exploring Bangladesh’s solar micro-grid model as a strategy for Pakistan’s energy challenges. Ali Haider’s capacity-building session inspired participants to embrace imperfections and view flaws as learning opportunities. The day concluded with an engaging movie night, leaving attendees energized to lead positive change in their communities.
