Provincial Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid held an important meeting in the Department of Specialized Health Care and Medical Education. Punjab Health Secretary Imran Sikandar Baloch, Special Secretary Dr. Farrukh Naveed, Additional Secretary Dr. Hafiz Shahid Latif, Mian Zahid ul Rehman, CEO Punjab Health Initiative Management Company Dr. Ali Razaq, Dean of Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute Prof. Dr. Faisal Dar and Hospital Director and Secretary Board of Governors Dr. Faisal Amir participated in the meeting. Provincial Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid reviewed the performance of Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute in detail during the meeting.
Dean of Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute Professor Dr. Faisal Dar gave a briefing to Provincial Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid. Provincial Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid has said that we want to provide maximum convenience to the public through the Kidney and Liver Institute. From January 2021 until now, 375 patients have undergone kidney transplants at the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute. From January 2021 until now, 295 patients have been given liver transplants at the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute. Since January 2021, 40,574 patients have undergone dialysis at PKLI. From January 2021 till now, 403201 patients have been checked up in the OPD of Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute.
From January 2021 until now, 14817 patients have been admitted and treated at the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute. We will also provide the facility of bone marrow transplant in Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute.
Pakistan Kidney Endurance Institute is providing the best facility of dialysis to the patients. Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute has also been instructed to use the health protection program for the convenience of patients.
