KARACHI – Actor, writer, and director Yasir Hussain has stirred debate by suggesting that women are more responsible than men when it comes to second marriages and extramarital relationships.
Speaking during a recent appearance on a talk show, Hussain shared his views on multiple social issues including the practice of polygamy and the dynamics of marital relationships in contemporary society.
While discussing the idea of men having four wives, the actor disagreed with the notion, saying he does not support the concept of multiple marriages.
“I had a love marriage, and I can’t even imagine looking at another woman,” he said.
Hussain claimed that in many cases involving second marriages or extramarital affairs, women often play a more significant role than men. He explained that modern women tend to prefer financially stable men who can provide for children, and despite knowing that a man is already married, some still agree to become a second wife.
He further stated that he knows women who have willingly chosen to enter into second marriages and, in some cases, even pressured the man to divorce his first wife.
