World Egg Day Celebrated at PMAS-AAUR

The World Egg Day was celebrated at Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi on Tuesday, with an aim to create public awareness about the nutritional value of eggs and its importance in human diet and nutritional value.

On the occasion PMAS-AAUR, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman was the chief guest while Mian Jan Muhammad Javed, President of World Poultry Science Association was the guest of honor.

PMAS-AAUR, Vice Chancellor, while addressing, appreciated the organizers and participating students for organizing such a colorful event and said eggs have a vital role to play in feeding people around the world.

He highlighted the importance of egg hygiene in human life and said that the lack of animal nutrition can be met with their use. He assured full support from PMAS-AAUR to provide technical support to farmers for development in the poultry sector and emphasized on solving problems through research.Earlier, an egg cooking competition and an awareness walk were also held at University.
