On the occasion of World anti polio day, an awareness rally was organized, led by District Health Officer Dr. Syed Safdar Ali Shah, from the Government Town Dispensary to Thatta press club. The event saw active participation of men women from health department doctors, paramedics, and concerned citizens, all holding placards with essential polio awareness messages.
Addressing the rally, Dr. Syed Safdar Ali Shah stressed the pivotal role of media in championing the efforts of polio workers and raising awareness about the vital mission of polio eradication. He emphasized the significance of administering two drops of the polio vaccine to every child under the age of five for a continuous five-year period, ensuring their protection from this debilitating disease.
Dr. Syed Safdar Ali Shah celebrated the remarkable dedication and tireless efforts of health department doctors and polio workers, whose unwavering commitment led to the extraordinary achievement of a 100% success rate in the previous polio eradication campaign.
