Workshop on journalists protection bill

One day Training Workshops was held in the context of the problems faced by journalists and the bill passed by the Sindh Assembly was discussed by journalists, legal experts and media practitioners who attended the workshop, that was organised by PPF in Thatta press club on Wednesday.

The training workshop included by senior journalists Qazi Asif, Iqbal Khuwaja President of Thatta Press Club, Nazir Jakro, former president Dr Shahid Siddiqui, senior journalists Ismail Memon, district bar association general secretary Akhtar Jamari, Iqbal Jakro and others gave suggestion regarding the bill.

The speakers said that journalists of Pakistan are faced too much issues, especially journalists of Sindh, lead an unorotective and risky life who can not freely report, because of security and the institutions do not own their reporters due to any issues happen in reporting field and government had no proper policy to protect the journalists, which is a huge tragedy.
