Construction of Ring Road project in Sheikhupra is being started, which will be completed at a cost of Rs500 million, said Punjab Disaster Management Minister Mian Khalid Mahmood.
Talking to the mediamen on Sunday, the provincial minister said that Ring Road is a mega project being executed in Sheikhupura, which will start from Sharqpur Road up to Haran Minar Road.
“this road project will ease traffic congestion in the City and reduce the distance”, he pointed out, adding that Ring Road will be beautified with modern facilities.
The Punjab Minister for Disaster Management inspected the site for Ring Road Sheikhupura and reviewed arrangements made for execution of the project.
On the occasion, he was accompanied by engineers and officers of relevant departments working on the Ring Road project. They briefed Mian Khalid Mehmood regarding design and quality of the project.
“Ring Road is going to be a mega project as it will benefit people of the district at large”, he said, adding that services of best engineers should be hired and no negligence will be tolerated in the construction.
On the occasion, PTI Sheikhupura City President Mian Taimur Khalid, Senior Media coordinator Sheikh Yasir Nadeem and other leaders of the party were also present.
