A woman died after being poisoned, the police confirmed on Friday.
The police said that the woman’s family has accused her in-laws of killing her. The police the incident occurred in Drahma area of Dera Ghazi Khan. The bereaved family to the police that the couple used to indulged in argument and quarrel as her husband wanted to marry another woman. The couple had five children together.
The police found her body at her in-law’s house and e shifted it to a hospital for a post-mortem examination. Evidence from the crime site has also been collected.
The police said that an FIR has been registered and await autopsy report for further proceedings.
Man kills younger brother over wives fight
A man killed his younger brother following quarrel between their wives in Misri Shah area of the metropolis, the police said on Friday.
According to the police, the wives of the two brothers got into a heated argument when they came to house. In a fit of rage both brothers also started quarrelling. In the meanwhile, the elder one identified as Liaqat Ali opened fire on Qasim Ali, injuring him severely in the head.
The injured was rushed to Mayo Hospital but he succumbed to his injuries. Police sources said that accused Liaqat Ali had fled the scene but was arrested later.
Both the brothers were living in the same house with their families.
