A woman in India allegedly killed her husband by injecting him with toilet cleaner with the help of her lover, according to Indian media reports.
The incident took place in Nizamabad district of Telangana, where a woman allegedly murdered her husband in a brutal manner.
Police said the matter came to light after the mother of 35-year-old Prashant filed a complaint with police on July 1.
In her statement, the mother said that Prashant worked in a Gulf country and that she had no knowledge of the events that occurred after her son returned home and before his death.
The mother described her son’s death as suspicious and expressed doubts over her daughter-in-law Sindhya’s involvement. Following this, police took action and arrested Sindhya and her friend Anil.
During the investigation it was revealed that Sindhya was allegedly in a relationship with Anil and they considered Prashant an obstacle. Police said they allegedly planned his murder and sought the assistance of a hired attacker, Venkat Sai.
Police said Venkat Sai went to Prashant’s house, gave him a large amount of alcohol, and then took him to the rooftop where he allegedly pushed him down. Prashant sustained serious injuries and was later taken to a hospital for treatment.
Police further alleged that after Prashant returned home, Sindhya, on Anil’s instructions, injected him with toilet cleaner and a sedative. They alleged that she later pushed him from the bed, resulting in his death.
