Without involvement of Women development cannot be achieved: Faraz

Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) President Faraz-ur-Rehman said that development is impossible without women. Efforts are underway to include women in the workforce.

He expressed these views while addressing the ceremony of awarding the best-performing women under the Nisa Women Empowerment Campaign 2023 in collaboration with KATI.On this occasion, Vice Patron-in-Chief Zubair Chhaya, Senior Vice President Nighat Awan, Vice President Muslim Mohammadi, Sarwat Naseem Shah, Former President Gulzar Feroze, FPCCI Women Entrepreneur Farzana Barni, Saeeda Bano, Maheen Salman and other women were also present. President KATI Faraz-ur-Rehman further said that compared to the past, women today are well aware of their rights and they also know how to raise their voices, which is appreciating. Women are now being given their rights in Pakistani society and law.

Legislation has also been passed in the assembly in favor of women by that they can lead an independent life.Faraz-ur-Rehman said that the most gratifying thing is that Pakistan is among the few countries in the world where the involvement of women on the boards of private, public and international organizations is at the highest rate.Vice Patron-in-Chief Zubair Chhaya said that women are actively participating in the field of business, education, health and social services.

He said that KATI is at the forefront of making women independent and giving them equal rights according to the Constitution of Pakistan and Sharia law. He said that KATI is the only trade body in the country in which women officials are performing their duties well, which includes Maheen Salman and Nighat Awan.Zubair Chhaya said that the late SM Muneer, the beloved leader of KATI, always gave equal rights to women and he wished that KATI should be chaired by a woman. We will fulfill his dream very soon.At the end of the ceremony, awards were given to women who have performed well in business, education, health and other fields.
