Karachi Matric Board examinations were postponed and slated to start on May 28, but now the federal government has announced a public holiday on Tuesday, leaving students baffled.

Amid the confusion, a development about the Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi surfaced online, and it claimed that May 28 exam had been cancelled due to the Youm-e-Takbeer holiday.

New dates for Matric Exams will be announced later, as per available information.

Karachi Matric Board Exam Update

Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) earlier announced a new schedule for the matric exams that were postponed due to a heatwave alert.

The rescheduled dates for the 9th grade Islamic Studies exam and the 10th grade Pakistan Studies exam are May 30 and May 31 respectively.

The decision to postpone the exams from May 21-27 was made after alerts from the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA). The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has also postponed intermediate exams by five days, with exams now starting on June 1.
