According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a fresh westerly wave will likely approach the northwestern parts of the country on May 2. It will likely persist in the upper parts till May 5.

Under these conditions, rains and gusty winds with isolated heavy falls and hailstorms are predicted in the upper and central parts of the country from May 2 to May 5, with occasional breaks.
Punjab/Islamabad: Rains and gusty winds with isolated hailstorms are expected in Murree, Galyat, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Khushab, Sargodha, Mianwali, Bhakkar, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Jhang, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, and Narowal from May 2 to May 4, with occasional breaks.
Intermittent rains and gusty winds with isolated hailstorms may occur in Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Layyah, Khushab, Noorpurthal, Multan and Khanewal on May 3 and May 4.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Intermittent rains and gusty winds with isolated heavy falls and hailstorms are expected in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kalam, Shangla, Buner, Kohistan, Malakand, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Balakot, Haripur, Mardan, Nowshera, Peshawar, Bajaur, Mohmand, Orakzai, Khyber, Swabi, Charsadda, Kohat, Kurram, Hangu, Karak, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Tank, Dera Ismail Khan and Waziristan from May 2 to May 4.
Gilgit-Baltistan: Intermittent rains and gusty winds are expected in Diamir, Astore, Ghizer, Skardu, Hunza, Gilgit, Guanche, and Shigar from May 2 to May 5.
Kashmir: Intermittent rains and gusty winds with isolated heavy falls and hailstorms are expected in Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Haveli, Sudhanoti, Kotli, Bhimber, and Mirpur from May 2 to May 5.
Balochistan: Intermittent rains and gusty winds are expected in Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Qilla Abdullah, Qilla Saifullah, Kohlu, Zhob, Barkhan and Loralai from May 2 to May 5.
Sindh: Windstorms are expected in upper Sindh on May 2 and May 3.
Impacts:
Gusty winds, hailstorms and lightning may damage weak structures like electric poles, billboards, and solar panels. Landslides may occur in vulnerable areas of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
Hailstorms/windstorms may damage standing crops in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and upper Punjab. Farmers are advised to manage their crops according to the prevailing weather conditions.
The prevailing very hot weather conditions over the plain areas of the country are likely to subside during the forecast period. Tourists are advised to remain extra cautious and avoid unnecessary travel during the forecast period.
