ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced the postponement of power show scheduled in Tarnol today after Islamabad administration cancelled the No Objection Certificate (NOC).

Amid drastic changes in twin cities, a clip of Chief Minister of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur surfaced online showing him distributing cash to party workers. This comes hours before party postponed its rally in Islamabad, originally set for today at Tarnol, now rescheduled for September 8.

The video shared by several social media users shows KP Chief Minister handing out cash to party workers and rescue personnel, with PTI leader Shibli Faraz also spotted in some clips. The cash distribution clip sparked widespread debate about Gandapurs’ actions.

Amid the criticism, some internet users defended him and claimed that CM gave little amount to poor to cover expense as party members travel from other cities while other called it usage of funds to lure underpreviliged.

PTI postponed the rally after local authorities canceled rally permit, resulting in road closures affecting travel to twin cities. Despite PTI leaders’ commitment to proceed with the rally, sudden blockades on major routes forced a change of plans.

Such disruption led to closure of schools in Islamabad for the day. PTI has announced that the rally will be rescheduled for September 8, pending a new No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the local authorities.
