Whopping increase in essential commodities’ prices hit citizens

Like the other parts of the country, prevailing price hike of various commodities has created unrest and disappointment among the citizens of Badin and other towns and cities of the district including Tando Bago, Matli, Talhar, Golarchi, Khoski, Seerani, Nindo, Kadhan, Pangrio and other localities. A market survey showed that prices of almost all essential commodities were showing an upward trend, especially chicken meat, vegetables including onion, potatoes, green chillies, lady finger and other seasonal vegetables.
The fish was also sold out on maximum profit and own intention of sellers even small fish was also claimed higher rates. While grocery shops were claiming higher prices for red chillies, sugar, wheat flour, rice, ghee, oil and other items. The butchers were also showing non reasonable rates for mutton. The eggs were sold out of maximum profit as compared to past.
Meanwhile, profiteers and hoarders have also created hurdles for citizens and low paid servants, daily wages employees and poor families were unable to meet two times meal, sustain economic survival and match home budgetary.
