Opposition Leader in the Punjab Assembly Malik Ahmed Bhachar has said that the wheat scandal caused a loss of Rs799 billion to the famers.
Addressing the budget session on Thursday, he said that the Punjab government had buried the farmer alive.
“The government is deceiving the people in the name of the Rs800 billion Kissan Card. Only 50 percent industry is working in Faisalabad, while 30 percent workers have become jobless,” he added.
He said that the government was using delaying tactics in presenting the challan of the PTI workers arrested in different cases across province. “Our bails were cancelled for being absent.”
Bhachar said that there is a difference of Rs803 billion in the income and expenditures in the budget.
