LAHORE – More rain-wind/thunderstorms are predicted in Lahore and parts of Punjab on Friday evening/night and Saturday.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a westerly wave prevails over Pakistan’s upper and central parts. It will likely move eastwards during the next 12-18 hours.
Under these weather conditions, rain-wind/thunderstorms are predicted at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, Faisalabad, Layyah, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Rahim Yar Khan, Sadiqabad, Lodhran, Vehari, Khanewal, Sahiwal, Pakpattan, Lahore, Kasur and Okara on Friday evening/night.
On Saturday, mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most districts of the province. However, rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galyat, Jhelum, Layyah, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Rahim Yar Khan, Lodhran, Vehari, Khanewal, Sahiwal and Pakpattan during evening/night.
Lahore’s maximum temperatures will likely stay between 40-42°C on Saturday and Sunday.
Meanwhile, rain-wind/thunderstorms occurred at isolated places in Punjab during the last 24 hours.

Bahawalpur remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 42°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 27 per cent.
In Lahore, the maximum temperature was recorded at 39°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 31 per cent.
