LAHORE – More intermittent monsoon rains with isolated heavy falls are expected in Lahore and parts of Punjab on Tuesday night and Wednesday.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea penetrate upper and central parts of Pakistan. A westerly wave prevails over upper parts of the country.
Under these conditions, intermittent monsoon rains are expected in Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Kasur, Lahore, Sheikupura, Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Nankana Sahib, Murree, Galliyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Sargodha, Mianwali, Bhakkar, Layyah, Khusab, Multan, Taunsa, Dera Ghazi Khan, Kotadu, Muzafargarh and Bahawalpur on Tuesday night and Wednesday.
Heavy fall may also occur at isolated places in Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Lahore, Pothohar region, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Khushab, Mianwali, Sargodha, Bhakar, Layyah and Dera Ghazi Khan.
Lahore’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 34-36°C on Wednesday and Thursday.
Meanwhile, rains occurred in Lahore and parts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.
