LAHORE – More rains and gusty winds are predicted in Lahore and parts of Punjab on Friday evening/night and Saturday.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), moist currents from Arabian Sea penetrates central and southern parts of Pakistan. A shallow westerly wave prevails over upper and central parts of the country.
Under these conditions, isolated rains and gusty winds are predicted in Murree, Galyat, Attock, Rawalpindi, Chakwal, Jhelum, Multan, Muzaffargarh, Khanewal, Sahiwal, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Layyah, Bhakkar, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Taunsa, Rahimyar Khan, Bahawalnagar and Bahawalpur on Friday evening/night and Saturday.
Lahore’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between on 40-42°C Saturday and 41-43°C on Sunday.
Meanwhile, wind/thunderstorm-rains occurred in parts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.

Chakwal remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 43°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 77 percent.
In Lahore, maximum temperature was recorded at 38°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 64 percent.
