World Bank Country Director Najy Benhassine called on Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Syed Amin Ul Haque here on Wednesday and discussed matters related to connectivity and e-governance. Secretary IT Dr. Muhammad Sohail Rajput was also present in the meeting.
While talking to World Bank Country Director, Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Syed Amin Ul Haque said under Digital Pakistan vision Ministry of IT & Telecom is committed to end digital divide between urban and rural areas of the country.
He said that steps are being taken for the provision of broadband services in unserved and underserved areas of the country. He said that IT sector of Pakistan has great potential.
IT Minister noted World Bank has pivotal role for the capacity building in the technology sector of Pakistan.
