Water pipes’ network used for kundas dismantled

The use of water pipes for power-theft has been exposed at Al-Karam Square in Liaquatabad.
During the recent raids by K-Electric and operation in Al-Karam Square, more than 400 illegal connections, weighing 360kg were removed.
In the residential project, the kunda wires were hidden inside water pipes, while telephone wires were also being used for electricity theft.
Despite resistance and protests by the kunda mafia, more than 90 power thieves were identified by K-Electric and legal notices were served on the spot.
