On the special instructions of Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab, the Water Board has made preparations to speed up operations against water thieves, In this regard, CEO Water Board Engineer Syed Sallahuddin Ahmed issued orders to disconnect all illegal connections by inspecting the 84-inch dia line of the water board at Saba Cinema and Gulshan Mimar from NEK Old Pumping Station.
On this occasion, the CEO Water Board issued strict orders to the Anti
Theft Cell and other concerned officers and said that all illegal hydrants should be immediately demolished and illegal connections should be disconnected, because they will not allow anyone to steal the water belonging to the citizens.
He said that the scope of the operation against those who steal water from the part of the citizens should be widened.CEO Water Board said that the effects of actions against water thieves will be evident in the coming time.
He further said that the accused involved in water theft do not deserve any discount, Therefore, strict legal action will be taken to bring the accused involved in water theft to justice, Imran Abdullah, Aamir Khan, Tanveer Shaikh Siddique Tunio Abdul Aziz, Mushtaq Ahmed, Hasnain Abbas were present on this occasion.
