As Wasim shared ad on social media platform, internet users were quick to raise legal and ethical questions as promoting gambling can have negative consequences, in countries like Pakistan. Surprisingly, former Mia Khalifa, and other players also joined the betting app.
The clip shared on his social sites shows Akram asking people to join the betting app for exciting experience, encouraging fans to rake in dough. He reiterated his sports achievement and lasting legacy in the brief clip.

In Pakistan, gambling attracted legal action over religious and local laws, which criminalize various forms of gambling, including sports betting and casino games.
The government also had stern stance against promotion of these ads, urging stakeholders to refrain from promoting such platforms.
