Behaviour with parents
Children don’t pay regard to their parents now a days. This conduct is having a negative affect on society. The relationship between parents and children has experienced an extreme change over last few decades. There are few reasons behind this exasperating trend.
Firstly, the freedom that parents have given to their children is one of the main reasons that today children are not giving due respect. The other reason might be what kind of example and role model their parents set for their children. “Remember, kids learn how to act by watching their parents, and in most cases, your deeds speak louder than your words”.
Children pick up on disrespect from their parents, if you are a kind and respectful person, your child will be more likely to be kind and respectful rather than nasty and disrespectful. They pay attention to the way things are done. Along with this, parents should keep an eye on each and every activity of their children that what they are doing in their routine life. In nutshell, we can only improve by giving best parenting to children.

Soaring inflation
Inflation continues to soar. Sensitive Price Index (SPI) readings confirm that prices are surging across the board and by a lot. According to Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), inflation in the country increased to 13.8 per cent in May 2022 from 13.4 per cent in previous month. It was the highest inflation rate since January 2020. But people do not need these numbers to be reminded of the rapidly increasing cost of living. They have to deal with this pain every day when they purchase groceries, fill up their vehicle tanks and pay their electricity, health and education bills.
The inflation data computed by the PBS does not capture even a fraction of the pain that low-middle income households are experiencing. Contrary to it, the government is blaming the predecessors as favourite pastime. They better first say sorry to common Pakistanis reeling under unbearable inflation.

Silent killer
District Lasbela has become the largest market for unhealthy gutkas. Gutka production across the district is increasing in number of factories. Factories manufacturing unhealthy gutka also supply on a large scale to Karachi. A large number of patients suffering from oral diseases belong to Lasbela. An immediate ban on sale and purchase of Gutka should be strictly implemented. According to an estimate, Gutka worth over millions is consumed daily not only in Lasbela district but also in other provinces. This is a silent killer which men, women and children consume considering it harmless and falling prey to various diseases for rest of their life. Temporary action is taken by administration but after few days factories are reopened. Let’s all work together to save ourselves and our children from this and to play our part in providing a clean and prosperous environment free of not only Gutka but also other hazardous drugs.

Importance of sports
Sport promotes physical and mental growth. A person who exercises regularly develops a healthy body, develops better physical strength and coordination. Physical benefits also include maintaining a healthy weight, preventing chronic disease and learning skills needed to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Encouraging children’s physical and intellectual development is certainly the most important contribution of sport yet benefits that a child can acquire through sport do not end here. The positive aspects are numerous revealing the true beauty of sports. Sports teach children the important lesson of team spirit and give them experience of working with different people in different situations.
Sports and games can be a great lesson in time management and instil competitive spirit that drives them to try even harder. Through sports, children learn to respect authority and rules and help them to attain mental alertness and reduce stress and anxiety. Good sportsmanship provides guidelines that can be generalised to instruction and lifelong achievement. Sport helps to build character and discipline and gives children confidence to be fully developing individuals. Nowhere else in life do children have such an opportunity to develop positive character traits and absorb many quality values as they do in sport.
Parents and teachers should encourage sports. As teachers and parents, we need to be role models. We have to enjoy sports and games and abide by rules. Watching games or sports together often fosters an emotional bond and develops a love for the game. As long as a child plays sports, they will learn to overcome obstacles and challenges that come their way. Isn’t that what we all want for our children?

Garbage collection
In places like Naushahro Feroze, vehicles come once a year to collect garbage, especially in Qaim Colony. Due to absence of effective city administration, people suffer from so many diseases due to filth around where mosquitoes and flies breed in abundance.
There is no system available where people can deposit garbage except space along roads, where we have to pass by too. So Municipal Corporation must take immediate measures in order to provide hygienic environment to dwellers of smaller cities as well so that we can also live a better life.
