Trust deficit

Murree disaster once again has revealed that Pakistan is rich in natural resources but inefficient to manage them effectively. Most importantly the tourism sector, which is considered a game changer for Pakistan’s economy and also one of the main agendas of present government. But the recent tragedy raises a question that what has been done to flourish this sector?

At the same time the administration and government officials were excusing that they were not ready to manage such mass of tourists and linked this tragedy as a natural disaster. But the question is: Is it true to blame tourists for this mishap or consider it a natural disaster?

It seems wrong to make such stupid statements. However, the truth is that if you are giving an immense importance to the beauty of this sector, then it is your responsibility to give equal priority to its management for an impressive impact on tourists. Otherwise, if such disasters continue to happen in future, it will create trust deficit among local as well as foreign tourists. As Pakistan has a wide range of adventurous places for tourism, so in this context, government should introduce a separate administrative Task Force and enhance its jurisdiction that only deals with this sector.

And this Task Force should further establish its sub-departments like security wing and rescue department for sustainability. Furthermore, if any such incident happens, the respective Task Force should be able to handle the situation without disturbing the other security institutions like army.

Nepotism in institutions

Through the columns of your respected newspaper, I request you to highlight the increased nepotism in all government and some private institutions. This thing is not just destroying the opportunities of our really talented youngsters but it also ruin our institutions.

This tendency of single family ruling the district, institute and nation is destroying our chances to make a better nation. Such favouritism or nepotism is not just snatching the job opportunities of youngsters but also increasing the unemployment of our country. Through this letter, I would like to draw attention to nepotism but also request the people not support this nepotism and give a chance to real talent of our country so that we look forward as a developed country.

Why boycott Murree?

We all have been listening again and again that Pakistan has so much potential in the tourism sector. We do love our country and we all realize the potential benefits that come from a boost in the tourism industry. Every individual is gloomy because of the Murree incident that happened recently. This incident is a disaster as far as administrative capability of the government is concerned. How on earth they haven’t had a look at the capacity of this most famous tourist spot in the country?

Why the actions they are taking now, not taken before? Why do we, as a nation, react after an incident happens? Do we need scores of dead bodies to identify an administrative problem? Why our leaders haven’t been able to forecast and prepare ahead of time while the definition of a leader is the person who can predict the future? Why haven’t we been able to produce a single non-controversial leader who can actually implement rock-solid administrative structure?

Murree has always been a prime attraction for tourists whether it’s winter or summer. Rationally speaking, the people who took advantage of tourists in life and death situation is not a Murree’s problem, it’s a National Problem. We, as a nation, never consider “Haqook-ul-Ibaad” as our duty. We are so obsessed with ourselves that we even forget the concept of “Halal and Haram Earning”. Let’s take a look back to another incident.

We all know what happened on 8th October 2005 (AJK earthquake). A huge number of trucks, loaded with relief material, were abducted. No one was there from Murree. I can go on and on with devastating examples but that’s not why I am writing. We have to keep in mind the good and bad characters are not confined to Murree, AJK or any other city or place of our country. For heaven’s sake, let’s start looking at things objectively, strengthen our civil administration and make sure this kind of unfortunate incident never ever happens again.

Education

for women

Education means to be cognizant of what is happening across the world. Without education, a human will find himself in a closed dark room, but with education, one finds himself with all its windows and doors opened towards the outside glittering world. Education for women is as vital as for men.

Moreover, education brings life to the right path. Men and women are two wheels of a vehicle. There are many advantages of education for women. Furthermore, it is one of the most important keys to open the door of success; without education, a person is a splendid slave reasoning savage.

First, an educated woman is conversant with her duties as a citizen of a state. Educated women are aware of the part she has to play in the growth of their nation. Women cannot become good citizens if they are uneducated. Educated mothers indeed give the nation healthy and enlightened children. A woman with education is much better as compared to an uneducated woman.

Unfortunately, our elders with their outdated ideas have restrained them from getting a formal education. The bottom line is we have to educate our women for the betterment of our family and society. Napoleon Bonaparte rightly said, “ give me an educated mother, I will give you an educated nation”. Therefore, education is called the medicine of life which cures all diseases.
