No voting for Shiv Sena again

The Christians community in Mumbai has decided to not vote for Shiv Sena in the forthcoming elections because just like the BJP, Uday Thackeray has also harassed us a lot after coming into power by closing churches and not allowing Christians to celebrate their festivals like Christmas, Easter and Bandra Feast.

If someone raises their voices, they are put behind bars. Furthermore, he has limited the guests at Christian weddings to 50 (25 from the groom’s side and 25 from the bride’s side), including family members, musicians and caterers whereas only 20 people are allowed to come and mourn at funerals.

Such laws are absolutely ridiculous and only shows that his hatred for the Catholic/Christian community of Maharashtra.

When churches reopened this year in January and February, only 50 worshippers were allowed inside while the police stood outside every church in Mumbai to ensure that the number of worshipers inside the church doesn’t increase 50.

If any parishioner stood outside the church and hears mass, their pictures were taken and they had to face the wrath at the police station.

The CM also instructed railways to not issue single or return journey tickets for fully vaccinated commuters in spite of the court giving orders that vaccination is not compulsory and people can travel by train even if they’re unvaccinated.

The Christians of India do not need you, Mr. Uday Thackeray. We have had enough of your dadagiri.

England also pulls out

England cancelled Pakistan’s tour after New Zealand’s pull out and honestly, there’s nothing surprising about this anticipated action. Next would be Australia, following suit.

All these countries are members of the so-called Five Eyes intelligence group consisting of the US, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and England, which hatched conspiracy to propagate the fake eleventh hour security threat of a terrorist attack on the visiting New Zealand team touring Pakistan, resulting in New Zealand’s withdrawal from the tour and returning to its sweet home. Shame on the Five Eyes members for turning a sport into a geopolitical tool!

Another No ball

After a decade spent trying to revive International Cricket’s elite, Pakistan’s facing the prospect of postponement of Cricket tour again.

The England Cricket Board unilaterally pulled out of their cricket series against Pakistan after the recent Blackcaps withdrawal.

These two recent events have been a massive setback for the cricket loving nation, which moved heaven and earth to declare itself as a safe place and won tour commitments from the leading boards.

As a student of political science, the withdrawal of the two International Cricket Boards in Pakistan, for me, are linked with the Five Eyes and political/military/intelligence failures in the region.

The PCB and Pakistani government should explore the issues and clarify the situation on International level to ensure that other teams do not hesitate in coming to the crazy-for-cricket nation.

The government needs to find the hidden forces behind these events. As for Pakistan, it will definitely bounce back and rise stronger than ever.

Water shortage

Seachi is a backwards village in Dasht and its villagers are in desperate needs of drinking water in order to live their lives.

Furthermore, majority of them are poor and cannot afford a water tanker which is why the only resolution they’re forced to act upon is drinking dirty and unhygienic water which causes various diseases.

In fact, almost 40 year have passed by since this water issue emerged yet no action has been taken till present day and political leaders only ‘promise’ to solve the issue and provide clean drinking water to the people but all their stances are only claims for nothing has actually been done. It is a painful request to the government and leaders to solve this water issue and save the Seachi people.

Demand for more provinces

Pakistan is the 9th largest country in Asia having an area of 881913 km. It has only four provinces – Punjab, Sindh, KP and Balochistan, as well as the territory of GB, AJK and Islamabad.

If we see our neighbouring countries; Afghanistan has 34 provinces, China has 23 provinces, India has 22 provinces and Iran has 31 provinces

Pakistan needs more provinces. The reason is that if we see Multan or Bahawalpur that are 300-400 km away from the provincial capital, Lahore.

Kashmore is about 600 km from Karachi. Likewise, Gwadar is about 1000 km from the capital Quetta. So, the people from these areas have to endure a lot of inconvenience travelling a whole day to reach their provincial capitals.

Furthermore, it is difficult for the government to distribute resources and facilities to all people equally.

Pakistan needs at least 10 provinces to run the country justly. So, this is a little suggestion of mine that government should pay attention to this issue.
