Branding a graveyard! stop it please
While going back home from work , I passed by H-8 graveyard. Trust me, shivers ran throughout my body when I saw branding of an emerging real estate company ‘ Agency 21’ right on the entrance gate.
Wherever, you go in Islamabad, branding by this company is seen visible. Inviting people at large to invest
Being in the advertising, media and communications industry for almost 20 years here and in the United Kingdom, I can’t recall such an unethical act.
Trust me, being a resident of twin cities of Rawalpindi & Islamabad, I feel ‘captive’ & ‘suffocated” of this ‘branding beyond limits’ .
It is like breaking into someone’s home and forcing someone to invest savings with Agency 21. I urge the corridors of powers to look into.
We have seen a number of real estate investment scams in the past. Let not history repeat itself this time please!

Thekedar CM
The CM of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray has ruined our Easter celebrations last year by not allowing us “Christians” to celebrate our Good Friday and Easter services in church because of the pandemic and we could understand this.
He has also ruined our Christmas and New Year celebrations by again not allowing us to celebrate Mass in church.
Now he is again ruining our Good Friday and Easter celebrations which fall on April 2 and April 4 by not allowing us to celebrate Mass in church.
What is he up to? Maharashtra does not need a “thekedar” CM like Uddhav Thackeray who cannot control the Corona-virus from spreading and who only keeps saving drug addicts like Showik Chakraborty and Rhea Chakraborty and corrupt police officers like Sachin Vaze.

Breaking taboo on child abuse
Heinous crimes of rape and brutal murder of minors immediately catch people’s attention. Sexual abuse of children is widespread in Pakistan and generally it is a tabooed topic so there is hardly any discussion on it in the mainstream media.
Rape issue is increasing day by day in the country. In Pakistan, rape victims are in silence due to culture taboos, and the perpetrators go scot free.
A total number of 1,764 cases of child abuse were reported across the country in the first six months of 2017.
In the previous year, the total number of child abuse cases stood at a staggering 4,139, bring the total number of children being abused in Pakistan per day 11. I strongly appeal to the parents to please keep a vigilant eye on their kids and guide them on different matters related to self-safety.
And, the government has to take strong action to eradicate child abuse in the country to save the beautiful/precious life.

Safeguard people
AS of now, two news pieces are nagging and weighing on the heads of the people. First off, the recent Atlanta spa shooting incident that had taken the life of the people especially women of Asian descent has sent shockwaves globally.
This so-called Asian bias incident has really dented the mental faculty and strength of Asian-Americans living in the USA.
I do have a few relatives and friends working and living in America. President Joe Biden of the United States has instilled a ray of hope into the minds of Asians through his reassurance and bold outlook on this issue.
That apart, the international media should come together and fight such hate crimes at the world stage.
Second, immediate steps are needed now to cope with the post-vaccine pandemic situation. Despite being familiar with wearing masks, the people have now been bunking off their responsibility to wear masks.
In my native areas like Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu, the people have often been in great admiration of the media outlets.
Therefore apart from the regimes, the media houses should contemplate new methods and utilize daily updates to create mask awareness among the people all meant for stopping the virus pandemic permanently.

Chunian industrial estate
Punjab Industrial estate and Development Company (PIEADC) has begun one of the mega projects at Chunian city, encompassed about 300 plus acres land.
But this project is lying stagnant for the last 3 years, means no work done so far except a boundary wall as well as an office in it. This industrial Estate will become a mainstay not only for the people of Chunian but also for its outskirts dwellers.
For the information of all Chunian has been providing numberless engineers to whole country since Pakistan came into being.
Nevertheless, it’s the need of the era. Punjab Govt should focus its importance and order to restart the project.
No doubt, PIEADC could play a vital role to endure and strengthen country’s economic growth.
