Suffering of old parents
In European countries, there are old age houses where old parents are kept as their offspring spend a busy life and do not get time to look after their old parents properly. Such old age houses are criticized in our country on the grounds that the children are obliged to take care of their old parents.
Well, the condition of old parents in our country especially of urban areas is not so good as well and offspring are not ready to keep their parents with themselves especially when they get married and it is horrible to learn that in some cases parents do not get meal to eat as every offspring say that it is not only his responsibility which is pathetic. The parents who cherish their offspring with love and affection in their whole life but once they become old enough to do their household work by themselves do not get much time and attention by their offspring.
Need of the hour is to sensitize this issue in the society through electronic, social and print media as well as through public service messages so that old parents might not suffer and offspring serve their parents which is good for them in this world and hereinafter else old parents should be kept in old age houses where their due care might be taken properly at least.

Women in Zimbabwe
I am deeply depressed that Zimbabwe is celebrating achievements of women yet women activists are harassed because of their different opinions to the government. Last year three opposition activists were abducted and tortured and these issues were not highlighted on International Women’s Day.
The three women are Joana Mamombe Harare West MP, Cecilia Chimbiri Youth Chairman and Netsai Marova Youth Organising Secretary. Women cannot fully celebrate any achievements when other women are suffering in a horrific state in Zimbabwe just because of their opinion and demonstration. Where are women of the world to voice their concern to the cruel Zimbabwean government?
Even South Africa is quiet about these harassments and ill-treatments of Zimbabwean female activists. Many female activists have fled to South Africa to seek sanctuary there. It is deeply worrying that South Africa now host an estimated seven million Zimbabweans who fled their home country because of hardships and climate of fear. Women and men all over the world should condemn and pile pressure on careless Zimbabwean government to stop persecuting women.

Giving rights to transgender
I’m very glad that your newspaper is doing such a great work by raising many issues that are being highlighted as they are related to the social affairs in our society. I want to bring to your attention the issue of harassment of the members of transgender community. It’s a negative perception of our society that we take these people for granted and don’t respect them like a normal human being. They are made fun of, everywhere they go. Mostly people consider them for being in this state. But it is not in their hands, it’s how nature has made them.
Even they can become civilized and live a normal life, if we accept them as normal human beings. It’s the responsibility of the Government to take steps of providing them the atmosphere where they can feel safe and can sense that they can be an important part of our society by playing their role for the progress of society. Government should provide them with educational facilities and skills and there must be reserve quotas for them in public or private sectors to get good jobs. I’m sure that these steps will be benevolent for them.

Devendra Fadnavis
When Devendra Fadnavis was the CM of Maharashtra, his mouth was always shut. He never spoke a word when he was asked questions by the media.
Now that Uddhav Thackeray has become the CM and the Shiv Sena has come to power, he keeps opening his mouth for silly things which was always shut and keeps targeting Uddhav Thackeray and his government for no reason at all. Devendra Fadnavis has even banned beef in the state of Maharashtra, thus putting a leg on the stomach of both Christians and Muslims.
