Helpless patients
Thalassemia is one of the most horrifying untreated diseases which treatment is not yet found. However, thalassemia patients depend on blood of other people. They can live if people donate blood to them on right time otherwise they cannot get up from their beds. Mostly people refuse to donate blood to these helpless thalassemia patients.
In fact, donating blood gives advantages to us because donating blood is the easiest way to refresh our own blood. Each normal person’s blood HB is more than 10 and it does not harm you if you donate blood. I request people to donate blood and save lives.

Population growth
The world population has raised billion during last many decades. However, current situation is denoting that an enormous change is expected in population in coming days. The rapid increase of population is causing high ratio of poverty, illiteracy and more burden on the world.
People in majority consider having many children in spite of low income, as they believe that more children, more hands to work. The world would have been better if population growth were limited. High increase in population is giving birth to poverty, inflation and illiteracy. To save the world there should be awareness among families to practice family planning.

Advertising junk food
Apropos the letter, “Junk food”(26 Dec). In this modern era, everyone is looking for a quick way of everything and purchasing prepared junk foods that are also delicious is like cherry on top. Junk food is not just common in kids and teenagers but also adults. The main problem is that usually mothers hand over such junk foods to their kids at the early age of 3-4. The widely salty chips are quite common among young children. When they began to develop such tastes, they start growing up with junk foods which might be delicious but leads towards long term health problems.
Problems like obesity, heart diseases, diabetes and much more are due to excessive use of junk food. Unfortunately, our youth has no idea about the benefits of organic food. Organic foods are filled with nutrition that helps us to sustain an active life. There’s a dire need to discourage junk foods rather advertising them.

Our Hazara brothers
The thought of slain Hazara miners still sends shiver down my spine. The devastated state of victims was result of our shortcomings and wrong policies. It was indeed very heart-wrenching seeing a mother lost her son, a daughter her father, sisters their only brother and a family their only breadwinner.
All that they had and days of sit-in in freezing temperature, what they asked from their leader is to come listen to their yearnings, shed some tears with them, and once again promise them that this will not happen again. This is the maximum that they asked and I don’t find anything wrong in that. There is a saying “If you can’t be with someone in their happy moments make sure you are with them in their bad ones.” I understand that you preferred your rationale to your empathy, but this was not time.
A leader is known for what he portrays and stands for and the world saw how you shrugged your shoulders when your minorities were demanding your attention. Dear leader, this is not fair. And Dear Hazaras, We are sorry. But sorry is not just enough for those whose sufferings are decades old. This is high time we take strict actions against those who are behind these brutal acts before any such misfortune visits our other minorities again!

Laws in Zimbabwe
It is discouraging that Zimbabwean law is one-sided. Zimbabwean law seems to have been specifically prepared for the opposition to get them arrested. Heartless ZANU-PF government is arresting members of the MDC Alliance.
Fadzai Mahere MDC Alliance national spokesperson was arrested in 2017 after organising a soccer tournament in her constituency and was charged under the Public Order and Security Act. Advocate Fadzai Mahere has been arrested for peacefully demonstrating against corruption on 31st July 2020. Six days earlier, they came for Zimbabwean investigative journalist Hopewell Chin’ono charging him with communicating falsehoods, then they came for his lawyer, Job Sikhala, and on Monday they arrested Movement for Democratic Change spokesperson Fadzai Mahere while prominent Zimbabwean journalist and filmmaker, Hopewell Chin’ono who was arrested Friday for the third time within six months.
His attorney, Job Sikhala, who was arrested on Saturday after representing Chin’ono in court when he first appeared, was also arraigned before a Harare magistrate. I call upon Zimbabwe police to stop this relentless intimidation and harassment. The world should intervene to help the people there. President Emerson Mnangagwa must go before elections in 2023.

Railway service
Despite being a developed district of Blalochistan, Kech is deprived of railway service. The population of the district is increasing and there is need of more and more sources of transportation. That Kech is deprived of railway service is awful since it has limited transportation resources already. In current situation poor people cannot afford high fares of buses and vans.
In such situations, railway transportation is the best option because it is cheaper and affordable for people. Concerned authorities must take notice and arrange railway service.
