Laws and prosperity
Human beings live together and depend on one another for the fulfilment of their basic needs. Laws are enacted to ensure that no individual can commit wrong against others. Laws serve as a tool to control the behaviour of all members of a society so that no one is able to harm the interest of other human beings.
In the absence of law or in case of dysfunctional legal/judicial system, the society becomes a breeding ground for heinous crimes and life and property of human beings face serious threats. Powerful elements of society begin to suppress the weaker segments. In such unstable circumstances, the peace and prosperity cannot be ensured. Development of such a society remains extremely slow. The natural abilities of human beings are absolutely ruined due to injustice and sense of deprivation – the twin social evils that are the unavoidable outcome of lawlessness.
It is beyond doubt that the societies that are developed today give high importance to the proper implementation of law. Their success is the fruit of their respect for law. Pakistan has immense potential. However, it is an unfortunate reality that there is a lack of proper implementation of law in our society. What we are witnessing around us is the clear violation of laws by citizens at all levels of society. Bypassing laws have become a norm rather than an exception. And this is the primary reason behind our backwardness. If we learn to respect laws our nation can become one of the greatest nations in the world.

Coronavirus second wave
Coronavirus second wave has entered Pakistan. Despite smart lockdown, no one follows the precautions laid out by the government. Mostly people don’t wear mask, no one bothers to use sanitizer and there is no social distancing; that’s why corona cases are growing.
On the other hand, marriages are being celebrated in marriage halls, political rallies are carried out with huge crowds and shopping malls are open. Instead of educational institutions everything is going on as usual. That’s why affected people are increasing rapidly which is very dangerous for the society. Government should implement its policies regarding Coronavirus prevention to stop the spread of Coronavirus.

Education problems during Corona
I would like to draw attention of authorities concerned towards a very sensitive issue, which is causing major damages to our nation. Due to Covid-19, there is a huge loss of education, which students are facing in different ways. Teachers are delivering lectures by hybrid system and it is difficult to make students understand. But in past they (students) understood their teachers’ lectures with a very ease.
Moreover, students are showing their non-serious attitude towards online classes. Besides these problems, there are major crisis of power supply and signal weakness. Therefore, I request the authorities to solve these problems to save the future of the nation from this ongoing dilemma.

Intolerance in our society
There is little to regret about the incident in Chhota Lahore area of Swabi, which was based on a recurring firing during a jirga and the consequent loss of eight precious lives. Along with the loss of these precious lives, the more unfortunate aspect of the incident is that the centuries-old system of jirgas of the Pashtuns is due to the passage of time or due to the conspiracies of others and the lack of seriousness, selflessness or indifference has reached such a stage that the ongoing negotiations for the resolution of an already ongoing dispute between the cousins, which are not related to anyone but blood relations, lead to a murderous confrontation.
More unfortunate is the fact that this is not the first such incident but such incidents have been happening frequently for some time. The whole Pashtun nation knows that there are some traditions, rules and regulations of the jirga, it is a matter of great disgrace in the nation when there is any mischief in the ongoing jirga at one’s place. What is being held on the field should be turned into a battlefield.
This incident of Chhota Lahore or other incidents of this nature which have taken place in the recent past where there are question marks on the functioning and performance of the government or the administration is also a moment of concern for the whole society. First of all, the main message of the religion we Muslims follow is peace and security. According to the meaning of a hadith of the Prophet of Islam, a Muslim is the one from whose hands and tongue other Muslims are safe.
Are we all Muslims among ourselves? Brothers are not brothers? Muslims resolve their disputes in court or through mutual understanding. But our good fortune, and to a lesser extent our misfortune, is that we are Muslims as well as Pashtuns, our jirga system resolves the understanding and disputes of our ancestors through negotiations and negotiations instead of sword or bullet. Doing so is proof of their belief or ideology.
At the same time, the government, the administration and other relevant authorities must play their constitutional, legal and moral role not only in resolving such disputes but also in ensuring the overall law and order situation. In the same way, the entire Pashtun community must pledge that they will no longer show intolerance and will try to resolve all their disputes in an understanding and peaceful manner.
