Govt’s empty promises

PTI has been leading the government since 2018. It can be seen that no prominent developmental project is being worked upon. Government is just inculpating the former government for everything. Everyone is compelled to live a low standard of life. All the useful commodities, including medicines and vegetables, are out of reach of the poor. They are going through hard phase of their life. Khan was believed to steer the country out of hardships which has been proved wrong. Khan is just busy paying lip service.
Nothing can be done with speeches and promises, everything requires an action. As rightly said “Actions speak louder than words”. It is a pity that PTI government has not only failed to take the country out of crises as promised but also put it even in more trouble. Government is itself confused and not in position of leading a developing country. If this situation continues, no one will vote PTI into power next time.

Reboot Indian economy

Shocking revelations about state of affairs post-COVID-19 have started coming to the fore. My recent chat with a recruiter had turned intense when she was talking about the fact that many more experienced professionals including HR professionals had been without job due to multiple crises caused by coronavirus. All these six to seven months down road, the entire lifestyle has gone from bad to worse.
This strongly means many sad stories behind the scene. Technology and lavish lifestyle cannot hide these facts or could not paint a different picture either. Unemployment apart, the affected have been unable to share their status and pent-up feelings. Maybe this might have been the trend everywhere in the world. A stitch in time saves nine as the saying goes. Now, the entire responsibility of setting right everything squarely falls on the executive and policy-makers.
An immediate economic boost is needed. Strong political will, financial back-up, multilevel economic agendas and far-reaching plans of action are badly required to inject a new lease of life out there. Lack of foodstuff, malnutrition and a shortfall in nutritious diet has been just out there, impacting the human race across the world. To stop such spiraling effects, the much-needed economic strategies should be on the ground. In Asia, local markets have been flourishing for much longer time than in the West. In the West, local economic activities are relatively concerned with population, lifestyle, other external/internal factors as totally distinct from Asian region that has inherent capacity and intensive manpower to sustain the changing trends.
America and other European countries should tread cautiously to handle possible food crisis and economic downturn. Quickly enough, farming activities and the agriculture size should be strengthened at the world stage through appropriate sources/channels like green strategies, perennial water sources and huge tracts of fertile soil.

Sanity must prevail

This endless bickering and calling adversaries traitors or questioning their loyalty to Pakistan is causing harm and division which will serve the interests of our enemy. People have a right to express their opinions, especially when what they are reiterating is what Quaid stated on 11 August 1947 or while addressing officers at Staff College Quetta on 14 June 1948. Pakistan has suffered enough because we deviated from the vision of Quaid-e- Azam. The awakening amongst Muslims of India originated from Dhaka when All India Muslim League was founded on 30 September 1906. Yet vested interests intervened soon after the Quaid’s death and within a few years Iskandar Mirza, a direct descendent of Mir Jaffer, who while serving in British Indian Army was inducted into Indian Political Service in nexus with Ayub did what MAJ had warned in 1948 that paid civil and uniformed servants of state had no role in politics. Ayub banned all politicians, many of whom participated in the political struggle led by the Quaid and thus started a series of events which ultimately resulted in disintegration of Pakistan in 1971.
MAJ and All India Muslim League struggled to liberate the Muslims from exploitation and humiliation of Hindu majority infected with Hindutva mindset and if anyone had any doubts Modi has proven it. Why should anybody make an issue about Mahmood Khan Achakzai, who while addressing the crowd in Urdu stated something? Urdu is our national language, but it is also a fact that it is not the mother tongue of many, yet they all speak it. Should that not be enough? I do not agree with many things that Achakzai states, but cannot deny him the right to express his opinion. Any citizen who demands supremacy of the constitution and the need for every institution to work within their defined corridors is stating what the Quaid had said.

United Nations role

After the cease-fire on Nagorno-Karabakh’s conflict, there is some Controversy has been continued. Azerbaijan and Armenia both accusing on each other of breaking the cease-fire. More than 1,200 casualties have been reported from both sides.
About 30,000 people were killed in a 1991-94 war in the region. United Nations must play their part to arrange a General Assembly session to figure out a perpetual solution to this proliferate conflict to maintain the peace and prosperity in the region.
