Stability or turmoil
After a night marked by chaos, confusion and conflict, the people of the capital got a sigh of relief, their normal life returned to their usual daily routine.
The law enforcing agencies prudently and wisely discharged their duty without any crack down. Despite the killing and injuring of their personnel by the PTI’s activists, they behaved with utmost patience and restrained themselves to retaliate in the same manner. The true extent of casualties, the undeniable reality is the loss of lives and injuries, that tragic incidents could be avoided through responsible leadership. PTI’s leadership escaped from the scene, leaving their workers in the lurch.
As the nation teetered on the brink of chaos, one truth has become inescapable: the path forward lies in dialogue, not discord. PTI’s founder and other leaders should accept the reality that negotiated resolution to the political deadlock between the PTI and the government is imperative.
Compromise, conciliation and a willingness to abandon entrenched hardline positions are the only ways to achieve peace and stability. Courts dealing with cases of detained political persons should arrange speedy, impartial, fair and free trials.
The government cannot sustain frequent marches on the capital without severe repercussions for national stability and the economy. People as well as the business community have been exhausted by useless calls and repeated marches. Students are also being suffered due to unnecessary closure of educational institutions.
Likewise, the PTI cannot afford to bleed its ranks by repeatedly staging confrontational demonstrations that yield no tangible results.
It is time for both sides to come to the table and forge a consensus. Without this, the cycle of unrest will continue, dragging the country deeper into turmoil.

Misguided patriots
I am appalled to read in the daily Dawn that Ali Amin Gandapur still has the cheeks to speak from his safe abode in Mansehra that “Our sit-in at D-Chowk will continue and we will not end it until our leader Imran Khan calls it off” All this melee drama is result of systematic destruction of education and other state institutions, no voice was raised when PTI Minister for Aviation announced that all PIA Pilots Licence are fake, with purpose to provide free space to Virgin Airline, who closed all operations the day No Confidence motion was passed.
Today the nation is helplessly suffering due to rulers’ extravaganza and total mis-governance, the common man is jobless, cloth-less, food and shelter-less, IMF orchestrated imposition of GST, forced increase in utility bills in the absence of gas and electricity supply to consumers, health, education and law & order can only be seen in dreams.
Pakistani media and intelligentsia are divided, engrossed in trading accusations against one another following the Islamabad episode on the night of the 25th, after the leaders managed to escape. Not ashamed PTI is using panaflex mobile in Washington to satisfy their dead ego, Recalling a long statement of admission submitted before the Court by Nathuram Godse, “I gathered all my courage and shot Gandhiji at the place of worship in Birla House on January 30, 1948.”
Without spending a word to defend himself, Nathuram Godse stated in court that he had shot Gandhiji, without any ifs or buts. This is called truth. He further said Gandhiji had developed an individualistic mentality under which he alone was the final judge, this would have caused untold distress and political upheaval, but Mahatmaji’s carelessness…childishness, imprudence and obstinacy…led me to reach this decision in the interest of the nation and country. Alas! We could inculcate such spirit in political leaders and elite.

Pitching for free trade
The long-drawn-out trade war has been going on between the countries with no possible/immediate solutions in sight. The trade war is a special case, getting attention from across the world and even pushing to the point of blocking other genuine trade deals like jet/flight sale, for example. It is the proper business agreement/deals that will keep the world on right track, giving impetus to the growth machine.
My native areas like Korkai, Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu have been widely known for rigorous agricultural activities and business establishments like groceries. It is only with great effort and hard bargain that people from these areas like Kanyakumari are able to run their businesses. Naturally, countries should understand the business ethics and facts and shun trade war at all costs besides strongly supporting agricultural activities in the best interests of the international community.
The universe has been facing a lot of business and trade challenges straight from time immemorial. However, continents like Asia, America and Europe have started taking steps to reconcile the current fiasco. More to the point, the intercontinental business/trade activities are the need of the hour in the current context.
Economically speaking, the current business statements from the Asian region have been pretty encouraging. Furthermore, sincere efforts and mutual business cooperation are badly needed to expand the potential trade platforms like APEC-Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation, RCEP-Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership all aimed at encouraging regional business activities through free trade.
