Unwielding womanhood
Compromise is a bilateral agreement by two sides, there is always a theory or it can be reality that every woman after marriage does compromise on every form with her education, her personal and her professional life. But, the thing is need to be understood that she comes from a different background where she got every opportunity to grow on, she got all those rights from her parents which are fundamental these are those rights that no one has the right to collapse them, and it is necessary that those opportunities, those rights she should get everywhere and no one can be an obstacle between her and her dreams, may it be her in-laws house, she can manage but she can’t compromise.
Why do women sacrifice her everything on the name of compromise isn’t it biased? Why do they get blamed for everything? If people are saying compromise then compromise is based on two sides, society wants sacrifices from women not compromise and it is a fact which no one is accepting. Does Society stereotypes are not making women lag behind and lack a lot?
Because achieving destiny is not easy; it takes a lot to reach that level, and everybody should realize this. It’s not facile to leave a career because a career isn’t a joke. Every woman goes through a lot to pursue it. She can organize accordingly, but it shouldn’t be a condition for a woman to leave her profession. Of course, these are biased dynamics for a woman, to get her completely involved in home chores and family responsibilities.

Insufficient budget
I am writing to express my concern regarding the current state of education in Pakistan, specifically the inadequacy of the allocated budget. Education is undeniably the cornerstone of a nation’s development, and historical examples underscore its pivotal role. Regrettably, the allocated budget for education in Pakistan falls short of meeting the essential requirements. Despite the meagre allocation, there is a further issue of inefficient utilization, hindering the promotion of a conducive learning environment. Particularly alarming is the situation in small towns and urban areas, where retired educators establish private schools. While this initiative is commendable, the exorbitant fees charged by these institutions pose a significant challenge.
Given that over 50% of the population belongs to the lower middle class, grappling with rising inflation, the burden of educational expenses becomes unbearable. Consequently, a substantial number of children find themselves excluded from the educational system. This is a critical issue that demands immediate attention. I urge you to re-evaluate the education budget allocation, ensuring it aligns with the actual needs of the sector. Additionally, measures should be taken to regulate and monitor the fee structures of private schools, making education accessible to all, regardless of socioeconomic status.

Beyond shadows
Pakistan has experienced extensive establishment involvement in politics since independence. The establishment views itself as the protector of the country’s ideology and views civilian governments as corrupt and inefficient. The establishment has directly ruled Pakistan for over decades since 1958 through coups.
Even during periods of civilian rule, the establishment exerts massive influence behind the scenes. It is alleged to help bring certain political parties to power or remove governments through covert support. The establishment is believed to help politically engineer outcomes. This includes transferring civil servants, manipulating election results, curbing dissent, and supporting favored politicians.
Key issues like relations with India and neighboring countries, nuclear policy and counterterrorism strategy remain under the domain of the establishment even during democratic periods, preserving national interests.
The establishment views itself as the guardian of Pakistan’s ideological identity and national interests. In conclusion, for democracy to flourish, the establishment needs to limit its direct and indirect role in politics and let civilian’s be allowed to govern without interference.

DIK: Poor roads
I would like to draw attention to the authorities regarding the poor condition of the roads in our locality through the column of your esteemed newspaper. I belong to one of the largest cities in KP, Dera Ismail Khan.
The specialty of the city is that it serves as the trade junction between Punjab, KP, and Balochistan. However, the condition of internal city roads is pathetic. All the roads are out of order, with numerous potholes causing vehicles to halt frequently, leading to difficulties in driving and numerous accidents.
The main road connecting Drabin Chungi with Mission Morr and the main city is completely damaged and urgently requires reconstruction. As a resident of our locality, I earnestly request the authorities to take immediate action to address these issues and improve the road conditions, ensuring the safety and convenience of the residents.
