Political misinformation

With the increase in political knowledge, political system has become more complex than before. It has also become difficult to understand this system because the scholars and the researchers affiliated to this field have done efficient work in this field. Alongside the progression in the knowledge of politics, some false information has also been attached to it, making it more complex and confused field. When this information, which is incorrect and false, is disseminated to it, then it may lead to change others perception about the subject matter and that person will be mislead and become difficult for him to distinguish it that what is right and what is wrong.

The technology of internet is displaying its wonders by making the world community together and among them social media is one of them, like, Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp etc. All these tools are playing an important role in disseminating information within and across the borders, some information is useful and sometime it is used to propagate false news to impact masses and to manipulate them.

Usually people hold false information and are unaware of the correct knowledge or real information and it leads toward misconception into the minds of the masses. Resultantly, people have become intolerant and unreceptive to others’ ideas, opinions or suggestions. There must be check and balance on social media to stop misinformation to be circulated. To stop misinformation there is need to implement the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016.

Gross mishandling of the rupee

The economically disastrous policy of controlling the interbank rate thereby providing stimulus to the black market, a policy with not a single tentacle rooted in any documented economic theory, has finally been abandoned after nearly four months of sustained haemorrhaging estimated to have cost Pakistan and its 220 million citizens at least 4 billion dollars. The loss can be itemized on two counts. First, data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) indicates that July-December 2021-22 total remittance inflows, a desired form of foreign exchange earnings, were 15.807 billion dollars while in the comparable period of 2022-23 remittances declined to 14.052 billion dollars – or a loss of 1.75 billion dollars.

The figure for January 2023 is not yet available but one may easily project approximately 200 to 300 million dollars of lower remittance inflows compared to January 2022. In other words, conservative estimates place the loss in remittance inflows for the first seven months of the year at a minimum of two billion dollars which does not take account of the 24.5 percent Consumer Price Index (CPI) for December 2022, against 12.3 percent in December 2021, that may have necessitated higher remittance inflows..

The decline in remittances is mainly if not entirely attributable to the differential of more than 40 to 45 rupees per dollar between the interbank rate and the rate available through the illegal hundi/hawala on Wednesday, the last day before this policy was finally forsaken.

Ruthless

stray dogs

It is extremely sad to articulate that the proliferation of stray dogs is leading in a speedy way in every corner of every street. Particularly these are extremely alarming for one to pass such a street, eventually it becomes a massive barrier for all of those concerned who always pass across those alarming streets. Ultimately if suppose it bites someone, so it becomes tremendously effective even it can also cause cancer as well. Whereas it is still untreatable in Pakistan but all over the world actually.

These stray dogs are inculcating a tremendous hamper for everyone but children are the most vulnerable to it. Owing to the very woes it has become too hard for the children to find a way for their schools, not alone children but every local people are facing the same alarming woes.

Unfortunately, the rate of these stray dogs are drastically increasing with each passing day, which is extremely intractable and generating many mortally prime issues. The local people are badly suffering and bearing the very intractable brurt every day. The ruthless stray dogs have addressed it extremely appalling, therefore, the government must step forward to address the alarming issues immediately.

Power shortage

I am writing to bring to the attention of the authorities concerned about the ongoing issue of electricity shortages in Pakistan and the severe impact it is having on the country’s economy. Despite being a major producer of hydroelectric power, Pakistan is facing an energy crisis that is causing significant economic losses and hindering the country’s growth.

The lack of electricity is affecting industry, agriculture and households, causing production losses, increased costs and reduced income. This is particularly damaging for small and medium-sized enterprises that are unable to afford expensive backup power generators. Furthermore, lack of electricity is also causing blackouts and power cuts, which are disruptive to business and daily life. This also affects education and health sector, which is a major concern for the development of country.

It is imperative that the government takes immediate action to address this issue. This includes increasing investment in power generation and distribution infrastructure, implementing energy-efficient practices and promoting alternative energy sources such as solar, wind and biogas. The government should also work to reduce transmission and distribution losses and improve the regulatory framework to attract private sector investment in the power sector. The energy crisis is a major obstacle to economic growth and development in Pakistan, and it is essential that immediate action is taken to address this issue.
