MY son has been living in Denmark for the last twenty long years. That is why I have to visit this country like a shuttlecock from Pakistan to Denmark to see him. This long period of stay over there has given me many inspiring experiences and happy feelings of head and heart which I want to share with my readers, my this column is a panoramic portal. I have visited many European countries but the long stay in Denmark revealed an exclusive culture, nature and patron of living.

The most astonishing fact is that it is ranked as one of the happiest countries in the world. It is the strongest welfare state in the rank of many other stable welfare states. Denmark is called the fatherland of great old story tellers. It is said that Denmark was formed by “Ice” over a million of years. It is also called the son of the sea. It is a small country but with a great scenario and great people. Danes are very active, very loving, straight-forward and with many virtues of head and heart. Fraternity, tolerance, pluralism and volunteering are the compo-nents as the national character of the Danes. Majority of the Danes do not indulge in evil do-ings or cruelty. Their dressing is so simple and similar that a viewer is unable to discriminate between the powerish and impoverish classes of society. The strange aspects of this social setup are handed down generation to generation. Danes are followers of Jesus Christ (The Apostle of Peace) by faith, but they have acquired all the knowledge from all the faiths spe-cifically from Islam which is supportive to amend the social set-up related to human beings.

Danes are, no doubt, Christians by faith, but they practice many virtues of the Islamic faith. Their behaviour and aptitude for acquiring goods and extending kindness to each other are evidence of this. Despite all these elevated humanitarian feelings, they have failed to amend their social setup of marriage matters. It has become a ringing alarm that divorce ratio is touching the hike. The children of single parents are facing a lot of psychological issues. So much so that now the block in the admission form of elementary educational institutes allo-cated for the parent’s name has been omitted. Denmark has a constitutional monarchy, Queen has no real political power and Parliament is the highest authority. The most important source of revenue is oil and other sources of energy. The government strives utmost to provide all types of facilities to their people. There is no run down of electricity or water etc. Education, free for all, is the core agenda of the government. Job replacement is available to all. The es-timated price of everyday commodities is very nominal. Idleness is an abhorrible act for Danes, timeliness is very important for them.

Denmark is an eye-catching small country; it is ranked as one of the happiest places in the world to live. Denmark is most famous for its museums of modern art. The Royal Palace is an eight-sided square shape with four palaces and a round church crowned with a dome. Anyhow, while living in Denmark, this stay always gives me a sense of fulfilment, like a happy dream sequence. This is Denmark.
