The Virtual University of Pakistan (UV) held its 11th Annual Convocation 2020 at varsity’s Sialkot campus here on Tuesday.
As many as 938 graduates were given away degrees in various disciplines on VU’s 11th Annual Convocation 2020. Of them, 303 bachelors, 474 Masters and 161 MS/M. Phil graduates were conferred degrees. Furthermore, 15 merit certificates and five gold medals were also awarded to graduates in various disciplines to acknowledge their outstanding academic performance. The convocation was declared open by VU Rector Naeem Tariq. He highlighted the achievements of Virtual University, its leading role in delivering information and communication technology-based education and highlighted the provision of quality education to the remotest areas of the country.
While addressing, Naeem Tariq welcomed the guests and their parents on gracing the event with their presence. He said that the parents, as well as teachers, deserve to be congratulated on the great efforts. He asked students to always remain respectful to their parents and set targets and goals to achieve better results.
Rector Virtual University distributed medals and awards amongst high achievers. Besides the dignitaries, faculty members and students, a large number of parents were also present at the convocation.
