Khuda Bux Brohi Thatta
A large number of the villagers belonging to Bahawal Jokhio village located close to Highway took rally and protested against influential land mafias who have allegedly captured their lands through local brokers and started threatening inhabitants to vacant lands, otherwise get ready for dire consequence.
Meer Mohammad, Dilmurad, Noor Mohammad Bawlani a branch of Jokhio community were leading the rally, that was taken out from Makli, marched the national highway and culminated outside side Thatta press club.
The protesters viewed that they have been protesting against the influential land grabbing mafia since the last week but all in vain.
They said influential area man Bashir Jokhio and Barkat Jokhio are intended to expel them out of the area and later hand the lands over to different wind mill companies and influential land mafias. They said their villages are located from centuries on the same spot and they are having real documents of the lands.
They said influential men have registered so many fake cases against them and resorting aerial fire over their villages was continue at every night .
They demanded justice and threatened to start series of hunger strikes and protests till the death if their issues were not resolved. However the rally was joined by Awami Tahreek, while addressing Ganhwar Khan Zaour said AT is along with the oppressed villagers and would keep continue their logical support.
