Under the direction of Vice Chairperson Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission (POPC) Makh-doom Syed Tariq Mehmood ul Hassan, a meeting of District Overseas Pakistanis Committee Division Gujranwala was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner OPC Syed Khadim Abbas and Commissioner Gujranwala Ghulam Fareed. Speaking during the meeting, OPC Commissioner Syed Khadim Abbas said that district overseas committee meetings are being held in all districts of Punjab to provide immediate relief to overseas Pakistanis.
The purpose of which is to provide immediate relief to Overseas Pakistanis. In the meeting of the District Overseas Committees, the complaints of Pakistanis living in Diyarbakir are being resolved as a top pri-ority. He said that meetings of District Overseas Committees are being organized in 2 to 3 districts every week.
He further said that chairmen have been appointed in all the districts of Punjab as per Over-seas Act 2021. Who is solving the pending cases of overseas Pakistanis in every district quickly. He further said that Pakistanis live abroad work day and night for the betterment of their country.
Due to their hard work, the economy of the country improves. On this occasion, Commissioner Gujranullah Ghulam Farid, Deputy Commissioner Saira Umar, CPO Gujranullah Umar Salamat, Deputy Commissioner Sialkot Khurram Abdullah Niazi, Deputy Commissioner Narwal Mohammad Shahrukh.
Khan, Director of Police Imtiaz Ahmad Khan, Chairman District Overseas Committee Gujranula, Sialkot, Narwal and other district assistant commissioners and other officers participated in the meeting. A briefing was also given. He said that 247 cases of overseas Pakistanis are pending in the Gujranwala division and besides this, the chairmen of all the districts of Gujranullah division gave a detailed briefing about the cases of overseas Pakistanis in their respective districts. Commissioner Gujranullah Ghulam Fareed directed the Deputy Commissioners to hold meetings regularly every month to resolve the problems and issues of overseas and keep the Commissioner Office Gujranullah informed about the action report.
