Vaccination, SOPs must to rein in pandemic: Yasmin

Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid on Monday underscored that in order to control the pandemic, vaccination and compliance with SOPs are very important.

“Data shows that vaccines are very effective against Covid-19 as 87% of hospital admissions are among unvaccinated people.”

The minister declared that there is no shortage of beds, oxygen and other facilities in government hospital, adding that at the same, there is no dearth of vaccine across the Punjab province.

Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid was speaking at a meeting held here on Monday. Dr Yasmin Rashid and Chief Secretary Kamran Ali Afzal reviewed the Corona Pandemic situation and pace of vaccination during the meeting at Civil Secretariat.

During the meeting, the issues came under review were medical facilities in hospitals, oxygen supply, Covid-19 vaccination process and Sehat Sahulat Programme.

On the occasion, Dr Yasmin Rashid pointed out that even condition of those who got single dose are better than unvaccinated patients.
