TAMPA/TEHRAN – US Central Command (CENTCOM) said it has completed an additional round of strikes against Iran on July 14, hitting dozens of military targets near the Strait of Hormuz and Iranian coastal areas.
“US fighter aircraft, drones, and naval vessels launched precision munitions against Iranian missile and drone sites, naval capabilities, and coastal defense systems during the seven-hour wave to further degrade Iran’s ability to threaten commercial shipping and civilian crews,” it said in a press release.
The strikes took place the same day U.S. forces resumed the naval blockade against vessels transiting to or from Iranian ports and coastal areas. The blockade went into effect at 4 p.m. ET today.
U.S. forces remain vigilant, lethal, and prepared to execute operations directed by the Commander in Chief.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) claimed to destroy the US Army’s main logistical and support center in West Asia, located in Mina Abdullah, Kuwait.
“The retaliatory operations continue and the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until the end of American acts of aggression,” it said.
“The enemy must know that, now that its pirates have blocked the routes for exporting oil and gas to the world through the Indian Ocean — routes that serve the interests of America’s economic rivals — it must be prepared for the closure of other oil and gas export routes that serve the interests of the United States and its allies. The region’s oil and gas exports are either available to all or available to none.”
During the fifth wave of Operation Nasr 2, carried out under the blessed code name “Ya Ali ibn Abi Talib (AS),” the US Fifth Fleet’s NSI management center, command and control center, large warehouses containing military parts and equipment, and fleet fuel depots in Bahrain were struck and destroyed, Press TV reported.
It said the US targeted several bases in southern Iran last night. Out of desperation and cruelty, they even bombed a warehouse that purchased wheat from farmers in the city of Hoveyzeh and a mineral water factory in Dehloran.
In response to these enemy aggressions, the fighters of the IRGC Ground Force and Aerospace Force, in the seventh wave of Operation Nasr 2, , under the blessed code name “Ya Rasul Allah (PBUH),” targeted the satellite communications center, missile and air defense radar, Patriot air defense complex, logistics facilities of the U.S. military base in Kuwait, and HIMARS missile launch platforms with missile and drone strikes, destroying and devastating them.
On the other hand, US President Donald Trump in a statement said: “We’re going to hit them very hard tonight. We’re going to hit them very hard tomorrow night. We’re going to hit them very hard the night after… We’re going to knock out all their power plants, we’re going to knock out all their bridges, unless they get to the table and negotiate.”
