ISLAMABAD – The US Embassy in Pakistan has announced that regular consular services at its missions in Lahore and Karachi will resume from July 20, 2026.
In a statement posted on X, the embassy said the US Consulate General in Lahore would restart American Citizen Services, while the Karachi mission would provide both American Citizen Services and non-immigrant visa processing.
The embassy advised applicants seeking visas or American citizen services to use official channels to begin the process.

The US Consulate General in Lahore and Karachi had suspended routine operations and American Citizen Services in March 2026 due to security concerns following deadly protests linked to military strikes on Iran.
The announcement marks the resumption of regular consular activities at the two US missions in Pakistan.
