UoS showcase advertising projects display of students

The Department of Communication and Media Studies showcased the Advertising Projects Display of the final year students of Master degree program with specialization in Strategic Communication here at Zubeida Agha Art Gallery, University of Sargodha.

The students of Advertising under the supervision of Ms. Mariam Ikram, Lecturer at the Department of Communication and Media Studies displayed nine innovative projects focusing on organic, vegan and eco-friendly products targeting the UN Sustainable Development Goals to meet the international market criteria. The jury including Mr. Noman Yaser, Incharge Department of Communication and Media Studies, Dr Mudassar Hussain, Assistant Professor, and Mr. Adnan Khaliq Bhatti, Assistant Director Arts Council congratulated the students, appreciated their efforts, and urged them to commercialize these novel ideas in the market through incubation centers.

The students launched advertising campaigns and exhibited their creative skills of branding, visual design and strategic communication in the form of poster ads, television commercials and product displays.

At the end of the event, as a token of appreciation, the jury awarded certificates of participation and certificates of achievements among the distinguished projects in four categories.

The advertising campaign of Maha and Muyyal on M&M Aromatics was selected as the Best Advertising Campaign, Natasha and Noor’s Organitastic Food Farmacy was awarded for the category of Best Print Advertisements, Danish and Qamar’s Orgum & Muqaddas and Shawal’s Baking Buster received the certificates for Best Television Commercial, while Ashfaq and Mohsin’s MatoMato secured the award for Best Project Display.

The faculty members and students from various departments visited the project displays and applauded the hard work of the students. Maha Ejaz, the student of MA IV expressed her gratitude and mentioned that the project based learning not only enhanced the creative skills but also boosted the confidence of students which is essential in this competitive world.
