UoP VC vows to build academic infrastructure

The newly appointed Vice Chancellor of the University of Poonch Rawalakot, Prof Dr Muhammad Zakria Zakar has vowed to build the academic infrastructure on war footing.

He announced this while addressing to the consultative meeting of various stakeholders of the university.

“Poonch University is one of the best universities of AJK having students’ representation across Pakistan.

However, the University is facing acute shortage of physical infrastructure especially class rooms, hostels and laboratories,” said the VC.

The VC stressed the need to provide state-of-the-art facilities to the students and issued directions to the concerned departments to complete the under-construction projects at the shortest possible time.

“We must provide high quality academic and scientific infrastructure to our students if we want internationally competitive and valuable human resource.

High quality human resource is the most precious asset of this country” observed Dr Zakar.
