The University of Gujrat (UoG) will hold from Monday, February 1, 2021 practical/viva voce examinations of BA/BSc/Associate Degree program (Science & Arts) for the Annual Examination 2020 which had been postponed due to COVID-19 or Coronavirus pandemic late last year.
Earlier, the BA/BSs/AD exams were scheduled to be held in April 2020. They had to be postponed due to the closure of educational institutions and lockdowns due to the pandemic. They were finally held in October last year.
However, practical/viva voce examinations of a few subjects could not be completed with the second wave of the pandemic throwing the spanner in the works and forcing the government, health, and education authorities to close universities, colleges, and schools across the country to check the spread of the killer bug.
Meanwhile, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Shabbar Atiq has reiterated his commitment to serve and promote the cause of higher education in the country.
He said this during a meeting with as many as 80 MPhil and PhD scholars here at Hafiz Hayat Campus on Friday on how to further improve the ongoing various research programmes offered by the varsity.
He assured the student scholars that his office would go all out to extend all possible support with regard to the successful completion of their research projects. Dean Social Sciences Dr Fauzia Maqsood, Dean Arts Dr Fareeshullah Yusufzai, Chairpersons of various departments, HoDs, and research supervisors attended the meeting.
