A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been inked between University of Education, Lahore and University of Okara, Okara to strengthen academic & research cooperation at Main Campus of UE on October 20, 2022. UE Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha (S.I) and UO Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Wajid signed the MoU.
According to MoU between both the universities will establish and strengthen collaboration to promote quality research and education through the exchange of expertise, sharing of laboratories, and holding of seminars and conferences, as per the rules and regulations of the two institutions.
A liaison between these two institutions will strengthen the scientific cooperation and foster a collaborative working relationship, aid in identifying and developing initiatives and projects that will be beneficial for both parties.
Talking on this occasion, UE Vice Chancellor Pro. Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha (S.I.) said that undoubtedly, the human development in the present age is based on education and research.
The country or nation which made education and research its jewel has reached the peak of development, but unfortunately in Pakistan, the work that is needed in the field of education and research has not been done, but the universities of Pakistan realize their responsibility and today’s agreement also aims to promote it through cooperation in the field of education and research.
He said that we can make our future better than today by promoting the culture of research.
On this occasion, UE Director External Linkages and International Office Dr. Muhammad Anwar, Director Division of Education Dr. Muhammad Ayaz, Registrar Dr. Mubashar Nadeem, Director SnT Dr. Muhammad Alam Saeed, Principal Dr. Rana Abrar Hussain and others were also present.
